ABOUT THE BAND

Breakout duo Something Out West, made up of actor/singer and California native Chet Hanks and singer/songwriter and Florida native Drew Arthur, burst onto the music scene this year with their debut releases “Leaving Hollywood” and “You Better Run.” Chet and Drew first met and became roommates at a pivotal time in their lives—both embarking on a journey toward sobriety. This shared path fostered not only a deep friendship but also ignited a musical and creative collaboration of late-night jams and songwriting sessions, as well as moves to Nashville and the formation of their duo. Together, they’ve crafted a unique sound that blends Nashville’s music scene with fresh, contemporary influences. Already featured on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “The Drew Barrymore Show,” “TODAY,” Esquire, Bustle, Billboard, MusicRow, and more, Something Out West is picking up speed and just getting started. Their debut EP Leaving Hollywood is out now, and the duo is currently in the studio working on new music.
